Tuesday 07 February. Fremantle to Yallingup
Bright sunny morning. Breakfast outside. Magpies making their characteristic flutey song.
We leave via the dump station. Not the best experience! On the road to Busselton at 10. Seems like all the campsites are busy and C spends an hour is so trying to find our next few days accommodation as we drive which isn’t as easy as we’d hoped even though the school holidays are over.
At Busselton we walk along the 2 km jetty constructed originally to export the Karri timber from the nearby forests. We could have taken the jetty train but that would have taken too long!! The longest jetty in the Southern hemisphere apparently. Picnic late lunch by the van before heading off to Yallingup
We get to the Tasman Beach site just before 5 We head off to the beautiful beach looking superb in the golden light of the late day.
Back to the site for a Little Creatures beer and some Chardonnay with our pasta and roasted veg supper. We have booked an intriguing sounding Japanese restaurant in Margaret River for Thursday night.
